Since it was a long weekend, Matt and I decided it was a good time to install the grid wall in our master bedroom. We had already planned to do this and bought all the materials back when we did the same accent wall in our kitchen in June. Since I already posted an in depth step-by-step guide when I shared that wall – I thought I’d just share a few photos of the before, the process and the after here. If you’re interested in the step-by-step guide – click HERE to visit that post.
THE BEFORE

I hated the grey walls against our grey headboard. Everything about the space was just flat and boring.
THE PROCESS

Just like with the last wall, we used Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Primer and Behr Premium Plus interior paint from Home Depot. Since our built-ins on the other side of the bedroom have a slightly warmer tone to them – I went with a colour called Marshmallow White by CIL (the same colour I used in my office HERE ) instead of the Ultra Pure White.
THE FINISHED PRODUCT

I love how the grid now defines the space. I love how the new white walls make the headboard and furniture stand out. I would have loved to install wall sconces above the night stands, but we’ll save that for another project!
