When we moved into this house, the powder room was lacking any sort of style. There was a wood framed mirror on the wall that was visually too heavy for the small space and a chrome faucet that didn’t go with the vanity or light fixture. Since I had already made Matt change a bunch of lights fixtures in the house, I thought it might be easier to convince him to switch out the faucet to something that would work better with the light. We didn’t want to break the bank on a powder room update, so we kept it simple by replacing the mirror, the faucet and adding a towel ring and matching tissue holder. With budget finds at Homesense, Lowes and on Amazon, we were able to update the space for $250.

Faucet: Moen Arlys Matte Black Faucet $155.20 at Lowes | Gatco Studio Matte Black Towel Ring $27.66 on Amazon | Gatco Latitude Matte Black Tissue Holder $28.96 on Amazon | Black Framed Round Mirror – $29.99 at Homesense – Similar Here on Amazon
Simply switching out the faucet and fixtures went such a long way in this space. Matt took off the waste and overflow ring in the sink and spray painted it black as well. We’re still considering doing some sort of wall treatment, but for now we love how the space turned out.
