Our Renovation: The Kitchen Reveal

If you read my previous post about our kitchen renovation plan – you’ll know how excited I was to tackle a kitchen renovation of my own. Here’s a look at how we started and how we got to the now completed space.

How It Started:

The kitchen was dark & tired and the layout of the main floor just didn’t make any sense.

The Demo & Framing Stage:

There were a few things that needed to be corrected structurally. Raising the back bay window allowed us to accommodate the new layout. This is the worst part of the renovation to live through in case you’re wondering…

The Finishes Stage:

After the demo stage – you have no idea how exciting it is to see drywall again. Once drywall was in – flooring, cabinets and countertops followed shortly after and the vision was finally starting to be realized. After this point – I was so happy to not have to hear an oscillating multi-tool anymore.

The Reveal:

Even though I went with black cabinets – the finished space is bright, open and airy. I love how the new space flows and functions. Without further ado – here is the finished space:
